LAMIN Dibba bagged a brace as Poole Town dished out a Bank Holiday bashing to Bournemouth Poppies last night.
The former Poppies centre-half helped Tom Killick's Dolphins complete a miserable two days for Kenny Vaughan's outfit after their 8-0 drubbing at the hands of VT FC on Saturday.
And Killick was full of praise for the influential Dibba, who struck Dolphins' first and last goals in last night's 6-0 rout at Tatnam.
"We've always known Lamin would be a threat for us at set-pieces and he's so strong and dominant in the air," Killick said.
"It's starting to come together now for him and I'm delighted."
Dolphins raced into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to Dibba's left-foot strike with just six minutes gone, Micky Hubbard's 20-yard thunderbolt six minutes later and James Bailey-Pearce's 20th-minute effort.
And Killick's men remained on top after the restart, with prolific Charlie Austin bagging his fourth goal of the campaign three minutes into the second half.
Bailey-Pearce then doubled his tally with a well-taken volley midway through the second period, before Dibba lashed home from Aaron Skelton's corner late on to make it 6-0.
Killick added: "I think the result they had on Saturday probably gave their confidence a bit of a knock. We wanted to try and start fast and get in front because we thought they might find it a bit difficult and luckily we did score early on.
"It knocked the stuffing out them I think but they kept going to the end and didn't give up so credit to them."
