DOMINIC Solanke’s hopes of featuring at this summer’s European Championship are all but over, after he was left out of the latest England squad.
Gareth Southgate has selected 33 players for warm-up friendlies against Bosnia & Herzegovina in Newcastle and Iceland at Wembley.
The group will then be whittled down to a final 26-man squad ahead of the Euros, which begins on June 14.

In terms of striking options, Southgate has selected captain Harry Kane, Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins and Brentford’s Ivan Toney ahead of Solanke.
Solanke was hopeful his performances for Cherries this season would earn him an England recall, having scored 21 goals in 42 appearances.
The 26-year-old has one cap for his country, which came way back in 2017.
But, unless there is an injury crisis in the England striker department, Solanke will not be adding to that tally this summer.
Lewis Cook, who also has one cap and enjoyed a superb season with Cherries, has also been overlooked again, with Curtis Jones and Adam Wharton among the players selected ahead of him.
