CHERRIES have announced plans of how they will look to celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary next season.
An Honorary Anniversary Working Group has been formed, made up of people who work in various departments within the club.
They will liaise with the Fan Advisory Board to discuss plans and will be central to “ensuring the anniversary celebration is an occasion worthy of the club’s history”.
The group includes former captain and current assistant coach Tommy Elphick, vice president of brand and marketing, Matt Payne, who has been a season ticket holder since 1994, and long-serving commercial director Rob Mitchell.
Two members of the ticketing team in Jazmine Spurling and Nick Osborn are also involved, as well as former Daily Echo reporter Neil Perrett, who now works in the club’s media department.
Mark Luther from accounts, a fan of more than four decades, is also in the group, alongside head of EDI and engagement Hannah Powis, data and insights manager Rich Cooper and first-team analyst Tom Webber.
Cherries will be dedicating their first home Premier League match of 2024-25 to the anniversary celebrations with a themed matchday. They will also revisit some historic moments from the club’s history in the build-up and following the match.
Further plans are due to be announced over the summer, where supporters will be asked for their input.
