MANCHESTER United are reportedly interested in Cherries left-back Milos Kerkez.

Cherries fought off interest to sign livewire Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar last summer, for a reported fee of £15.5million.

The 20-year-old made 33 appearances during his debut campaign in England and is set to feature at the European Championship this summer with Hungary.

Cherries are already short at left-back, following the departure of Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer.

But Man Utd have a keen eye on Kerkez, according to talkSPORT, who add how Cherries would demand a “high fee” for the defender.

Despite his tender age, Kerkez has already spent time playing his football in Hungary, Italy, Netherlands and England.

Earlier this season, it was reported Chelsea were also interested in him.

Asked how Kerkez was handling the speculation, head coach Andoni Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think for everyone, you have to focus on the things you control.

“The best thing for a football player is to try to do your job the best you can.

“This is the only thing that will put you in the best position.

“I think that is what everyone should try to do. I try to also do my part and focus on your job, that is what will put you in a better position.”
