JY Taylor believes Ringwood's players have nothing to fear at Marlow tonight after they twice came back from behind to grab a noteworthy 2-2 draw in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Marlow, of the Southern League Midlands Division, probably turned up at Long Lane expecting to role over the Sydenhams Wessex Division One outfit.
But despite being two divisions lower than their visitors, plucky Ringwood bagged a deserved preliminary round replay with an 87th-minute leveller from Dan Baguley.
So Ringwood go into tonight's replay (7.45pm) confident they can cause a big upset as they chase a winnable first qualifying round tie at Newport Pagnell Town.
Taylor said: "Equalising twice fills the players with confidence that they can score against these teams, that they're not unbeatable.
"We created our goals, they weren't gifted to us, so it proved we were good enough to score against them.
"The side Marlow had was the best one they could field.
"Our boys just have to be confident we can score against them again and if we defend properly we're hard to break down.
"We proved that last season when we beat Brockenhurst, only lost by two penalties to Poole Town and gave Wimborne a hard time."
Taylor, whose side features local non-league goalscoring legend Jason Lovell playing in the back four, added: "Marlow will be a different prospect at home because their players had a right rollicking from their manager after Saturday's game.
"They'll be on last chances from him.
"Marlow were very strong and tried to intimidate our players, but my players have to play exactly as they did on Saturday and see what we get from it.
"We're not going there to defend and get lots of people behind the ball unless we get a lead and need to maintain it.
"There's a good chance Marlow can score but I'm also confident we can score against them.
"They looked a bit dodgy at the back and we have to capitalise on it."
Newport Pagnell, of the United Counties League Premier Division, caused a major upset when they toppled Southern League South and West Division high-riders Cirencester 1-0 at home on Saturday.
Talking about a possible first qualifying round trip to Newport, Taylor said: "If we got there, that would be a game we would go into thinking we'd have a good chance of getting into the next round.
"Don't get me wrong, it was a massive result for Newport to beat Cirencester, who are second in their league. It was a really big achievement.
"But bearing in mind Newport are just one division above us, we'd have to go into it thinking we could win.
"We can't look beyond tonight's game though. That has to be our priority"
Ringwood are without playmaker Mark Burrett who pulled a stomach muscle during Saturday's game and could be out for two weeks.
Nick Howes, who was unavailable for the first game against Marlow, replaces Burrett.
Ringwood defender John Lever has re-joined his former club Bournemouth Poppies.

- Brockenhurst host Fleet in a FA Cup preliminary round replay tonight (7.45pm) with the winners at home to Cowes Sports at the next stage.
