CHERRIES midfielder Tyler Adams earned his first minutes of the June international window as the US men's national team delivered a bounce-back performance against one of the world's best.

Adams played 14 minutes off the bench as the USMNT tied Brazil 1-1 from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

It marked Adams' third USMNT cap of 2024 and his sixth overall appearance for club and country, his last coming against Brentford in the Premier League on May 11.

Rodrygo and Christian Pulisic traded first-half goals as the teams played out a thrilling pre-Copa America friendly, just a few days on from the US’s 5-1 humbling by Colombia.

USA’s overall record against Brazil now reads one win, one draw and 18 defeats.

USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner made 11 saves in the match, while Brazil's Alisson finished with six saves of his own.

Adams entered the match in the 76th minute and helped the USMNT hang on for a crucial bounce-back result. He completed all five of his pass attempts, made one block, and one clearance.

The USMNT captain, who now has 39 international appearances under his belt, will continue building his fitness for the start of the Copa America group stage

Bolivia oppose the Americans on June 23 before Panama and Uruguay also await on June 27 and July 1 respectively.
