CELTIC and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers if he is allowed to leave this summer.
Republic of Ireland international Travers is apparently available for £10million according to the Irish Sun, with the goalie serving as back-up to Neto for the second half of the season.
However, towards the tail end of the 2023/24 campaign the Irishman was given a run in the starting XI by Andoni Iraola, Travers playing four of Cherries’ final five Premier League games.
Travers had started the season out on loan at Championship outfit Stoke City, but was recalled midway through the season after injuries to Neto and Darren Randolph.
Despite Travers’ return to the starting line-up, Cherries will apparently field offers for their academy product, who arrived on the south coast from Shamrock Rovers in his native Ireland back in 2016.
Making his Premier League debut as a teenager in 2019, Travers established himself as Cherries’ first-choice goalkeeper under Scott Parker in the Championship, winning the Daily Echo’s Micky Cave Memorial Trophy.
In total, Travers has made 77 appearances for Cherries, including 19 in the Premier League.
Cherries have already signed a goalkeeper this summer, with New Zealand prospect Alex Paulsen joining from Wellington Phoenix.
