POOLE Pirates have issued an update to supporters regarding their plans to run with “reduced facilities” for Wednesday’s meeting.
Wimborne Road plays host to the National Development League Riders’ Championship this week, with the best racer of the third tier being crowned.
Two members of Pirates’ current septet are involved as part of the 16-man field, in Sam Hagon and Vinnie Foord, as well as former Poole pair Nathan Ablitt and Max Perry.
Poole have confirmed they will not be opening the glass grandstand for this meeting, insisting it will be “for one night only”.
Promoter Danny Ford said: “Traditionally, these events at Poole have seen lower-than-average attendance.
“To make the event viable, we are trialling reduced facilities.
“If successful, this could pave the way for hosting more such events in the future.”
All admissions will be through the east grandstand, with usual standing areas from the first and second bends around to the pits and the third to fourth bends.
The Champs Bar and pavilion snack bar will be open as usual.
The meeting begins at 7.30pm, with 20 heats of racing scheduled.
Tickets are available from £15 for adults, £13 concessions, £7 for students, £3 for youth (aged 11-16) and free for under-11s.
Pirates season tickets will not be valid for this meeting.
