JAMAL Lowe has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer, following his exit from Cherries.
Lowe leaves Vitality Stadium this summer following the expiry of his contract, having signed for £1.5million from Swansea City in August 2021.
The striker helped Cherries seal promotion back to the Premier League, before struggling for game-time in the top flight and spending time out on loan at Queens Park Rangers and back at Swansea.
In total, the 29-year-old featured 40 times for Cherries, scoring eight goals.
He has now linked up with Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
After a poor start to last season, the Owls finished 20th under Danny Rohl and have already signed five players this summer.
Lowe, playing for Swansea, scored in both games he faced Wednesday in 2023-24.
Upon signing, Jamaica international Lowe told the club’s media: “I’m really pleased to be here, really glad to get it over the line and to join this massive football club.
“It almost happened last year, but for whatever reason it didn’t quite pan out.
“Now that the summer has fully started and we’ve been able to get it done nice and early, I can’t wait to have a full pre-season and get going.”
