IN-FORM Poole Pirates duo Tom Brennan and Sam Hagon have received international call-ups by Great Britain.
Brennan, who is enjoying a stellar first season at Poole, has been named in the five-man Team GB squad for the Speedway of Nations.
He is in a star-studded group, alongside three Grand Prix riders in Robert Lambert, Dan Bewley and Tai Woffinden, as well as former British champion Adam Ellis.
The 15-team competition takes place in Manchester, hosts Great Britain seeded straight through to the final on Saturday, July 13.
The tournament last visited the National Speedway Stadium in 2021, Great Britain ending a 32-year wait for a team title, where Brennan also featured.
Meanwhile, British under-21 champion Hagon is part of the squad for Speedway of Nations 2, which takes place at the same venue, on July 12.
Hagon joins Leon Flint, Dan Thompson, Ashton Boughen and Joe Thompson in the young GB side.
It is the first time in the sport’s history that the under-21 world championship event will feature eight countries competing over 28 heats for SON2 glory.
First, Brennan and Hagon are set to feature for Poole, when SGB Championship action returns to Wimborne Road on Wednesday night, with Edinburgh Monarchs the visitors (7.30pm).
