CHRISTCHURCH boss Graham Kemp said he would be contacting Verwood counterpart Adie Arnold pretty quickly after Priory beat Hartley Wintney 3-1 at home in the FA Vase.
Gareth Barnes netted with two headers after Mark Burrows had grabbed Christchurch's first to fix up a home time against Peters-field in the second qualifying round.
Arnold's Verwood triumphed 5-1 at Petersfield in Sydenhams Wessex League Division One.
So Kemp said: "I'll have a chat with Adie and also have Petersfield watched. It's a game we are capable of winning."
With Burrows also netting a header, Priory won the aerial battle against Hartley, who made it 1-1 after 25 minutes.
Barnes then took over, although he failed to grab a hat-trick when his 80th-minute penalty was saved by the goalkeeper.
Christchurch: Kearn, Linpow, Dillon, Crutchley, Green, Lawrence, Smith, Brock, Burden, Barnes (Strong 80), Burrows (Cook 70).
KENNY COUNTS COST
BOURNEMOUTH Poppies boss Kenny Vaughan blamed "missed chances" for their 3-2 home Vase exit against Calne.
Poppies, who scored through Fawzi Saadi and Jimmy King, wasted a couple of good opportunities that would have put them 3-1 up.
Vaughan said: "Then we got caught out with a sucker punch and it was all over for us."
Poppies: Vaughan, McGrath, Neville, Lever, Geary (King 75), S Langrish (Toy 75), G Langrish, McGlynn, Wrixton, Saadi, Webb (Byrne 70).
- Ringwood manager Jy Taylor blamed "naïve" defending in the first half and "wasted chances" for their 4-0 home exit against Cowes Sports.
Carl Fleet missed a couple of good opportunities and Town went close on several other occasions after falling 1-0 behind in the 15th minute.
Cowes got a second on 35 and then took over, adding two more in the second period when they also hit the post with a penalty.
Taylor said: "We didn't deserve to win because we didn't take our chances."
Ringwood: Rhodes, Yates, Greaves, Howes (Baguley 70), Russon, Lovell, Midson (Sajic 60), Gogan, Fleet, Kim, Bellot.
WESSEX DIVISION ONE
LIAM Keighley hit two late goals as Verwood moved into second place with a 5-1 triumph at fancied Petersfield.
Chris Lynch, Damon Cousins and Russell Dyer also got on the scoresheet after Petersfield had gone 1-0 in front.
Verwood boss Adie Arnold said: "I'm really pleased with the start, it's been solid and great to take six points off Warminster and Petersfield in our last two games.
"We're renowned as slow starters so it's nice to be in the other position."
The gloss was taken off Verwood's win by injuries to Lynch (calf strain) and Paul Arnold (ankle ligament damage).
Arnold will be out for two-to-four weeks, and Lynch two.
Verwood: Willis, Elysee, Lynch (Martin Newbury 10), Moore, Stephens, Homer, Cousins, P Arnold (Keighley 60), Yerby, Goodall, Dyer.
