WIMBORNE assistant-manager Adam Batchelor believes their scintillating 4-0 victory at Lymington has answered critics who have already written off their title challenge.

Batchelor, in charge of the Cuthbury outfit while boss Christer Warren takes a short break, saw his side triumph with strikes from Dan Cann (two), Scott Joyce and Kevin James.

Then Batchelor, whose side have climbed into mid-table, said: "The press and everyone else has been putting Wimborne down, but within the camp everything is really positive.

"I think the bad press we've had has just added fuel to the fire. It's a great position to be in. Last season we were top and fell away at the end.

"I feel we are doing it the other way round this time.

"It was nice to add another win to our FA Cup triumph against Odd Down and it was a good performance as well.

"The boys have been working very hard over the last couple of weeks. The things we have worked on have come through.

"The players are beginning to gel and it's just positive all round at this place at the moment."
