SWANAGE Town and Herston boss Jason Phillips believes he has solved Swans' striking struggles after Jamie Holland starred in a comfortable 3-0 triumph at Hamworthy United.
Holland struck his team's third on the hour mark after Richard Sands and Aaron Corby put Swans ahead at the County Ground.
The home side made a late charge for victory and placed the Day's Park outfit under pressure in the closing stages.
But Swans' firepower made the difference and Phillips claims signing Holland has made a huge difference to his new club.
He said: "I played against Swanage three times last year - once with Poole Borough and twice with Hamworthy United - and one thing they missed was a goalscorer.
"Richard Sands got man of the match but Jamie will have been a close second - he's looking really sharp.
"He's the best striker in the league when he's fit but he has got a slight groin strain and I took him off after he scored.
"His trophy cabinet is full to the brim - he has won stuff with Holt, Poole Borough and Poole Town.
"When his head is right, no-one can touch him because he's a great finisher with great pace and links up very well."
Holland has also joined Phillips' management team and the former Poole Borough boss admits he jumped at the chance to help the forward launch his coaching career.
He added: "Jamie has come over as my assistant - he's 29-years-old and he wants to get into management. When you get a player like that asking to come, I'll give him any title he wants - Lord of Football if he wishes!
"Gary Fooks is our main coach and with Jamie in there too, the three of us are working really well - we all want the same things."
Swans finished last term at the foot of the Dorset Premier League table but under Phillips's, they are currently sixth in the standings.
Things are not quite so rosy for Blandford, though, after they were destroyed 6-0 by Wincanton Town at Park Road.
They gifted their visitors the lead on 27 minutes when Justin Hall diverted a corner into his own net.
And things went from bad to worse in the second half, courtesy of a second own goal from Saul Boulton two minutes after the break.
Brad Peters added a brace, before Matt Peters and Guy Chaplin completed the scoring within the final 10 minutes.
In West Dorset, Sturminster Newton United suffered a 4-1 reverse at the hands of Chickerell United.
Paul Thorpe found the net for Newton while Jamie Sibley, Nick Etherington, Andrew Graham and Ashley Smith struck for the hosts.
And in Yeovil, Westland Sports claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Cobham Sports.
Richard Proctor opened the scoring on 23 minutes before Dan Fallows and Andy Smith sealed the points in the second period.
Saturday's programme was hit by a catalogue of postponements, after heavy rain lashed Dorset throughout Friday.
This curtailed the contests between Hamworthy Recreation and Bridport, Portland United and Poole Borough and Sturminster Marshall and Cranborne.
