DORCHESTER Town have completed the signings of former Poole Town duo Wes Fogden and Kyran Samadi.

Fogden, 36, returns to the Magpies after 15 years away, having featured for the club over 40 times between 2007 to 2009, initially on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion before making the move permanently.

The experience at the Avenue stood him in good stead as he went on to play more than 100 times in the EFL with AFC Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Yeovil over the course of five seasons.

Experienced midfielder Fogden also clocked up more than 250 appearances throughout non-league for Havant & Waterlooville which included winning back-to-back league titles on their way to the National League.

Fogden also won play-off promotion from the National League South with Dorking Wanderers, and now links up with Magpies boss Tom Killick again having featured for Poole Town over the past couple of seasons.

At the Dolphins, Fogden scored 14 times in 74 games.

Speaking to Dorchester's media team, Fogden said: "I'm happy to be back.

"This was my first club for senior appearances on loan from Brighton and I've kind of done the full circle now, so 15 years on I'm looking forward to getting started again.

"I really enjoyed my time under the gaffer at Poole and that's a big reason why I came back, and obviously all of the lads that moved over as well, that has played a big part too."

Fogden added: "I've definitely got really good memories. The club gave me my first chance in men's football when I was a young lad.

"The fans were always great, staff were brilliant as well, and I've kept in contact over all of these years with some of the people at the club like Kate and Del (Taylor) and Annie (Greenslade) who come to mind."

Samadi joins the Magpies having spent last season at Poole, making 32 appearances and scoring four goals for the Dolphins.

The former Eastleigh man said: “It’s been in the works for a little while so I’m happy to get it done and excited to get started."
