POOLE Pirates have confirmed dates for the home legs of their upcoming Knockout Cup and BSN Series semi-finals.
Pirates promoter Danny Ford has been left frustrated in recent weeks not to be able to get dates in the diary for the fixtures, but now all the meetings have been pencilled in.
Poole face a rematch of last year’s KO Cup final, where they were beaten by Scunthorpe Scorpions.
They welcome the Lincolnshire club to Wimborne Road on Wednesday, July 24 (7.30pm).
Then, in August, Poole will play host to Workington Comets in the BSN Series semis.
Pirates are looking to retain the trophy they won last year.
That tie will take place on Wednesday, August 21 (7.30pm).
Dates for the away legs are still to be confirmed.
Ford said: “We have been working hard behind the scenes to sort out dates for these two competitions and I am pleased that we have now been able to secure our home legs.
“At the present time, we cannot give any insight as to when the prospective away legs will be diarised for.
“But I would like to assure all our supporters that we are determined to get this resolved as soon as possible, not least because we are determined to progress into the finals of both competitions, the same ambition we have, of course, in the league title race.”
Poole return to action on Wednesday, July 17, when the host Plymouth Gladiators in the SGB Championship (7.30pm).
