ANTOINE Semenyo says the 2023-24 campaign is one he will "never forget”, as he started the new season by penning a fresh contract at Cherries.

Semenyo still had three years left to run on his previous deal, but was rewarded for his fine form with a new five-year contract, tying him to Cherries until the summer of 2029.

Going into last season under new boss Andoni Iraola, exactly where Semenyo would fit in looked unclear.

But his performances, particularly on the right wing, made him undroppable.

The 24-year-old scored eight times in 36 appearances last season, all of his goals coming in the Premier League.

“Last season was one I’ll never forget,” Semenyo told Cherries’ club media.

“We showed what we’re capable of.

“My journey has taught me to never take anything for granted.

“Take each moment when it comes.

“It’s an exciting new era. Let’s keep pushing.”
