LUIS Sinisterra will look to secure the first major trophy of his career this weekend, after helping Colombia reach the Copa America final.

The Cherries winger came off the bench in the closing stages as Nestor Lorenzo’s side defeated Uruguay 1-0, despite playing 45 minutes with 10 men following a red card shown to Daniel Munoz.

The only goal of the contest came from former Cherries favourite Jefferson Lerma, who netted for the second time this tournament.

Colombia are on a remarkable 28-match unbeaten run, which stretches way back to February 2022, where they lost 1-0 to Argentina.

And it is Argentina who they will face in the final in Miami, kick-off scheduled for 1am UK time on Monday morning.

Former Feyenoord and Leeds United man Sinisterra has featured three times in the Copa America this summer, on the back of playing 23 times for Cherries last season, scoring three goals.
