DANIEL Jebbison says the “environment” and “direction” Cherries are heading in were key factors in his decision to join the club.
The highly-rated 20-year-old had plenty of offers this summer, after his contract at Sheffield United came to an end.
But he opted for Cherries and will hope to impress when heading away with the squad on Monday for their pre-season trip to America.
Discussing his move to Cherries, Jebbison told afcbTV: “It feels really great. I’ve met some great people here. I just can’t wait to meet everyone.
“I know a couple of the lads, so it’s really good seeing them. I just can’t wait to get started here in a new home and a new environment.
“I knew the environment here is really good.
“I know the people here have really good morals, good values, good traits that I really like.
“I could see myself playing here, because I like working with good people.
“I just knew what you guys were about. I did my own research myself. That’s why I picked here.”
He added: “I was really impressed with what the club is doing.
“My decision to come here was based off many things.
“The way you guys are heading is in a good place, a good direction and that’s what I really like to see. I love it.”

Jebbison missed most of last season due to injury, making his 35th and final Sheffield Utd appearance on the last day of the Premier League campaign.
Asked what he has been up to over the summer prior to joining Cherries, the striker said: “I went to Portugal for two weeks, just training and getting my legs back.
“I trained with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harry Wilson, who was once here, so I asked him some questions about this place. I was working with Tom King, our fitness coach.
“It was kind of a quick process, because when I landed here, I went straight here.
“It was good for me because I wasn’t relaxing. I went straight from training to more training here.
“I prepared myself for this moment, this whole summer I’ve been off.
“It’s really good I’m here for game one, have plans, set goals for myself and can get going.”
Looking ahead to the trip to the USA, where Cherries will face Wrexham and Arsenal in friendlies, Canada-born Jebbison added: “I can’t wait. It’s real good opportunities for not only me but everyone there to show their talent and really work hard.
“You will get your opportunity, so I can’t wait to help the team and do everything I can to get the boys going for the new season ahead of us.
“I’m going to come here and what you’re going to see is me doing everything I can to help the team and just work my hardest. That’s all any player can do and that’s the given.”
