WEYMOUTH have snapped up two former Cherries academy prospects, following their release from the club this summer.
Ben Greenwood and Euan Pollock, who both featured in senior Cherries matchday squads, have moved across Dorset to the National League South side.
Boss Mark Molesley formerly worked with the pair during his time coaching in Cherries’ academy.
Striker Pollock, 21, has had a wretched time with injuries in recent years. Having joined Cherries’ academy aged nine, he had spells out on loan at Hungerford Town and Truro City.
Under Gary O’Neil, Pollock was on the bench for three Premier League matches, one being against Arsenal.
Defender Greenwood, who was the club’s development squad captain, spent five years at Cherries having been plucked from Fleet Spurs. The 21-year-old previously had a loan spell at Weymouth, as well as Wimborne Town, Poole Town and Eastleigh.
He made one competitive appearance for Cherries, under Scott Parker.
