LOANEE Michael Dacosta Gonzalez says his time at Crawley Town so far has “been different, in a good way” to what he has become accustomed to at Cherries.
Snapped up by Cherries’ academy aged 11, Dacosta Gonzalez has spent all his young career so far in Dorset.
But now, aged 19, the winger will gain his first experience of the professional men’s game, with the League One Red Devils.
Discussing his time at the club so far, Spain-born Dacosta Gonzalez told Crawley’s club media: “It’s been different, in a good way, to what I’m used to.
“Being around men, it’s been quite different. In training, everyone is loud and really wants it, 100 per cent.
“It’s been quite intense, but everyone has been really nice to me and I’m getting on with everyone quite well.
“I’m quite excited and I like the challenge ahead. I just can’t wait for it begin.
“I just want to prove myself in this league and show everyone what I can do.”
Dacosta Gonzalez made his first appearance for the club in a 2-0 friendly win over Lewes on Tuesday night.
Crawley start their third tier season against Blackpool on August 10.
