LEWIS Cook says new Cherries teammate Daniel Jebbison “looks like a handful” adding: “I was marking him in training and it was tough!”
Striker Jebbison joined Cherries this summer, the club paying £1.5million to his former club Sheffield United.
The England youth international was born in Canada and is currently out in America with Cherries’ first team, hoping to make his first appearance in the friendly against Wrexham tomorrow.
There is a possibility Jebbison will head out on loan before the transfer window closes, with a host of Championship clubs including Leeds United linked.
Asked for his early impressions of the 21-year-old, midfielder Cook told the Daily Echo: “I had a conversation with him about it all, how he came over to England. It’s quite interesting.
“Everyone’s got their own story.
“He definitely looks like a handful as well.
“I was marking him in training and it was tough!
“He’s a good lad as well. Bournemouth generally sign good people.”
Asked what qualities Jebbison possesses, Cook added: “Tall, quick, good with his feet.
“I think if you’ve got those components, you’re always going to be a handful.”
Jebbison burst onto the scene with the Blades’ first team in 2021, becoming the youngest player to score on their full Premier League debut.
