DAVID Brooks is not yet ready to feature, following the injury he sustained in the Championship play-off final.
Brooks spent the second half of last season out on loan at Southampton, helping the Hampshire club clinch promotion back to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old, under contract at Cherries until 2026, started the play-off final against Leeds United at Wembley in May.
However, he was forced off after just 35 minutes due to a dislocated shoulder.
Providing an update on the Wales international, Cherries head coach Andoni Iraola said: “Brooks, in the play-off final, had a shoulder injury and had surgery also.
“So we had three players with surgery in Enes Unal, Tyler Adams and Brooksy.
“They are doing their rehab and processes, but they are still not with the team.”

Asked how long it would be until Brooks was available again, Iraola added: “I don’t know. It’s a shoulder.
“We’ve been unlucky, because it’s three players where the injury has got worse not playing for us.
“Brooksy with Southampton, obviously in a big game. Enes ahead of the Euros, it is bad for him personally he could not go and also for us, because he breaks his foot. And Tyler with the US.
“We cannot do much more than try to rehab them and go through all the process, which is what we are doing.”
Cherries began pre-season with a 1-1 draw against Wrexham on Saturday.
Asked why Justin Kluivert and Hamed Traore were not part of the matchday squad, Iraola said: “Some of the players didn’t play because we had 11 substitutions and used 21 players.
"I wanted not to sub Will Dennis, because I wanted to give him a complete game so we could see him.
“We changed all the other players.”
Cherries next face Arsenal on Wednesday.
