CHERRIES are reportedly “considering” making a move to sign Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.

French outlet L’Equipe claim Cherries are weighing up whether to bring the 30-year-old to England, following Lorient’s relegation from Ligue 1.

Bill Foley has a financial interest in both clubs as part of his portfolio.

Lorient are said to have told Switzerland international Mvogo he can leave this summer, with Celtic also previously thought to have been interested, before instead signing Kasper Schmeichel.

Mvogo, 30, has one year left on his contract at Lorient, with Leicester City also said to be considering signing him.

The Cameroon-born stopper made his name at Swiss side Young Boys, before spells at RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven.

Cherries currently have three senior goalkeepers in Neto, Mark Travers and Will Dennis, as well as recent signings Alex Paulsen and Callan McKenna, while Billy Terrell is also on the books.
