WEYMOUTH boss Mark Molesley was "pleased" with the lesson's learnt after a 2-1 defeat to Cherries' development squad on Saturday.
A second-half header from Francis Amartey was not enough to stop a young Cherries side claiming victory, but Molesley found "plenty of positives" from his side's performance.
Jonny Stuttle scored a goal in each half, which the Terras boss admits were "defensive errors", but overall he was pleased with the team's performance.
Speaking to the Dorset Echo, Molesley said: "It's always disappointing to lose but I am pleased with the lessons we have learnt about ourselves.
"We got more minutes in the legs of the players and we were on an almost even keel.
"Bournemouth tested us, that's what we wanted. We want to find our weaknesses and we did find areas we can improve on.
"We found plenty of positives as well but we are grateful for the lessons learned and we will be stronger going forward."
He added: "We had some positive moments and some moments where where we need to work on some stuff.
"I don't want it to be easy in pre-season though, and we want some bumps in the road and we got that out of this game."
