CHERRIES striker Daniel Adu-Adjei has joined Carlisle United on a season-long loan.
The youngster made his competitive debut for Cherries as a late substitute in January’s FA Cup win at Queens Park Rangers.
The 19-year-old then headed out on loan to Leyton Orient for the rest of the campaign, featuring 10 times in League One.
He scored the first senior goal of his career on the final day of the season, in a 3-1 win at Shrewsbury Town.
In June, Adu-Adjei signed a new long-term contract with Cherries, having been named academy player of the year, after scoring 25 goals in 25 matches for the development squad. He then travelled with the first team squad to the USA last month, featuring in a friendly against Arsenal.
Adu-Adjei joined Cherries in March 2021, following his release by Fulham. He spent time on loan at Poole Town in non-league and is now set for a season in the fourth tier with Carlisle.
Paul Simpson’s Cumbrians suffered relegation from League One last season, finishing bottom of the table.
