MIDFIELDER Dominic Sadi has committed his “long-term” future to Cherries, after penning a new contract.

Sadi, 20, has made four competitive appearances for Cherries’ first team, including a Premier League debut as a late substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion in April.

The midfielder has regularly trained with Andoni Iraola’s squad, but was left out of the recent summer trip to Los Angeles, instead captaining the development squad.

Sadi joined Cherries in May 2022, after a spell in non-league with Wingate & Finchley, and was under contract until 2025, but has now extended that further.

Discussing his new contract, the midfielder said: “I am very pleased. Last year was a very memorable year for me, making my Premier League debut.

“I am happy to add more years at this club and keep working.

“The moment I came to this club it felt like a family here.

“It’s a community-based club from the fans, to all the players.”

Speaking about his development squad boss Alan Connell, former West Ham United youngster Sadi added: “He has been almost everything for me.

“He has been such a big influence for me and my career so far.

“He is one I wanted to bring praise to when I made my Premier League debut.

“I will be forever grateful to Al and hopefully I will keep working with him in the future.”
