CHERRIES and Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal worth up to £65million for Dominic Solanke, the Daily Echo understands.

Solanke, one of the Premier League’s top scorers last season, is set to move to Spurs for an initial £55m, with a potential £10m in add-ons.

It matches the widely known release clause in Solanke's contract, which he signed last summer.

Reports suggest the 26-year-old is tonight set to head to London to complete a medical over the weekend.

Providing the final touches go through without a hitch, Solanke will become a club-record sale for Cherries, eclipsing the £41m Manchester City paid for Nathan Ake in 2020.

Cherries signed Solanke from Liverpool in January 2019 for an initial £17.5m. The Reds are thought to be due 20 per cent of any fee Cherries receive for a sale.

Solanke has played 216 times for Cherries, scoring 77 goals.

Tottenham face Bayern Munich in a friendly in north London tomorrow, which sees a return for their former talisman Harry Kane.

Spurs start their Premier League campaign away against Leicester City on Monday, August 19.

Solanke could return to Vitality Stadium with his new club on December 3.

Cherries host Girona in their final pre-season friendly tomorrow (5.15pm), before their league campaign starts at Nottingham Forest on August 17.

Cherries' only fit senior striker available currently is new summer signing Daniel Jebbison, with Enes Unal out following foot surgery.
