ANDONI Iraola believes his AFC Bournemouth team will be a tough test for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle this weekend.

The Magpies travel to the south coast for Cherries’ first home game of the season this Sunday, August 25.

The north east side won their season opener over the weekend against Southampton, despite having been reduced to 10 men as Fabian Schar saw red 28 minutes in.

Meanwhile, Cherries scored a dramatic late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Speaking after the Forest game and looking ahead to welcoming Newcastle, Iraola said: “We have to prepare very well because the demands of the game playing against Newcastle will be very high.

“They’ve won today playing with 10 players.

“They are a team that defends very well, attacks very fast, has individual players who can make the difference, and we will have to be at our very best if we want to have some success against them.

“We will try to do it, because if we are at our level, I don’t think we are an easy team for them as well.”

The sides will meet at the Vitality Stadium at 2pm on Sunday, August 25.
