CHERRIES attacking midfielder Dom Sadi has joined Carlisle on loan.

The 20-year-old made his Premier League debut last season against Brighton, having joined AFC Bournemouth after being released by West Ham.

He joins the League Two side for a season-long loan, after a strong season last season, netting 14 times for the development squad.

Sadi was recently handed a new long-term contract at Cherries, with Andoni Iraola telling the Daily Echo: “I’m very happy with Dom, because he helps us a lot.

“Sometimes he played some minutes, in the cup or even I had the chance to give him some minutes against Brighton in the Premier League. But he helps us a lot in training.

“Him, Max Kinsey, Owen Bevan, they come with us a lot and Daniel [Adu-Adjei], who has gone on loan [also to Carlisle].

“I’m very happy for them.”

The Cherries boss said he is a ‘very good player and a good guy’, adding: “Probably he hasn’t had the minutes in pre-season because we have a lot of players.

“It’s difficult for me to give minutes to everyone.

“But it’s a player that I think deserves this new contract.”

Sadi joins fellow Cherries loanee Adu-Adjei at the club, with the striker scoring the only goal in Carlisle’s 1-0 win over Barrow in the league on Saturday, August 17.
