CHERRIES are set to mark their 125th anniversary this Sunday at the home game vs Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
The day will see a range of celebrations across the matchday, with a number of special events planned.
Half an hour before kick-off, there will be pitch side interviews with AFC Bournemouth legends Steve Fletcher, Sean O’Driscoll, Harry Redknapp and Joe Roach.
Then, with ten minutes to go, the fans champion, Ron Taylor, will be celebrated on the pitch with a guard of honour from club legends.
Fans will then enjoy flames and pyrotechnics five minutes before kick off, as the teams are welcomed onto the pitch.
At half time, Cherries heroes Bret Pitman and Mark Molesley will take on the 125th anniversary half time crossbar challenge in front of the North Stand.
The club announced in May that the first home fixture of the season would mark the anniversary, before the fixture list was announced.
It will be former Cherries boss and player Eddie Howe in the opposite dugout as he aims to take three points back to the north east to spoil the celebrations.
