SWANAGE & Wareham earned their third win of the Counties One Southern South season at Bestweall on Saturday.

Swans started with an attack and were rewarded with a penalty kick which full back Lewis Reeves put over in the first minute.

Frome made ground early in the half, but Swans hit back and from a goal line drop out by Frome, the hosts received another penalty which Reeves converted after 15 minutes.

From the restart, Frome got a line out and with a catch/drive move went over in the corner for the game's first try.

Swans spent most of the next ten minutes in Frome territory and from a scrum in the Frome 22, Swans no.8 Matt Roberts powered over the try line close to the posts with Reeves adding the extras.

Frome attacked again but gave away a penalty, so Swans advanced into the oppositions 22 and from a scrum once again, Roberts broke clear to score his second try, with Reeves converting again.

Just before the interval, Swans were awarded a penalty under the posts which Reeves converted to give Swans a healthy 23-5 lead at the break.

From the start of the second half, Frome mounted an attack on Swans line, and from a scrum, scored their second try which was converted.

A Frome penalty which failed to find touch saw Swans winger George Crouch outpace his opposite number from inside his own half to score a spectacular individual try under the posts. Reeves added the extras after 56 minutes with the scores 30-12.

Frome added a third try after 72 minutes and they scored and converted their third try before a Swans player broke free of the Frome defence, but a Frome player tackled him with a high tackle and the referee awarded Swans a penalty try.

Frome managed to score a fourth try before the final whistle giving both sides their bonus points, as the game ended 37-24 to Swans.
