JULIAN Araujo has taken Andoni Iraola’s decision to substitute him after half an hour ‘very well’, with the Cherries boss praising his approach.
Araujo, who arrived on the south coast from Barcelona in the summer, was taken off after 30 minutes at Villa Park, after he was booked and struggled against Jacob Ramsey on the Aston Villa left.
The right back has reacted ‘very well’ to Iraola’s decision, though, with the Basque boss saying after the game that he was to blame for needing to make the change, rather than anything Araujo had done.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester City game at Dean Court on the Mexican, Iraola said: “I think he has a very good mentality.
“He trains very well, he wants to improve. He knows that he's coming to a new league and he needs to get a lot of things very quickly, and I like his approach.
“He knows he's not now, I will say, the finished product, he's still developing.
“Luckily for him he's very young and he has to improve a lot of things.
“But I think he's training very well and I like how he has taken the decision.”
