WIMBORNE squandered a first half lead as they fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Chertsey Town.
Chertsey scored three in the final quarter to overturn the Magpies lead.
Tim Sills made three changes to his eleven, with Harry Baker, Matty Burrows and Matt Neale into the side.
It was a cat-and-mouse opening half an hour, with the defences on top limiting both sides’ attacks to half chances.
But the game erupted into lift on 39 minutes, as Rutter made an acrobatic save in the Wimborne net from Lee.
Wimborne countered, Burrows rounding the keeper and seeing his ankles clipped before being flattened by Duffy.
The referee showed both Chertsey players a yellow card and pointed to the spot, but Will Fletcher’s spot kick was brilliantly deflected over the bar.
The hosts took the lead in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
A miscue from a defender was headed on by Fletcher, with Burrows volleying home into the corner of the net, giving Wimborne the half time lead.
But the one-goal advantage was not enough, as the visitors drew level shortly after the hour mark.
Chertsey’s Wright crossed in from the left for Mazzone to head home from ten yards, with the momentum in the game changing in favour of the visitors.
They took the lead on 79 minutes, Mazzone turned provider as he slid the ball across to Lewis Flatman, who finished from close range.
Wimborne were chasing the game and the Chertsey lead was extended in stoppage time as Mazzone reacted quickest to find the net after a Flatman shot was saved by Rutter.
The visitors leapfrog Wimborne into tenth as the Magpies drop to 14th.
Wimborne host Taunton up next at the Wyatt Homes Stadium on Saturday.
