KYLE Walker praised Andoni Iraola’s Cherries after he captained Manchester City in their first ever defeat to AFC Bournemouth.
Speaking to the media after the game, Walker said: “It's tough.
“I think Bournemouth, over definitely the last couple of seasons with the manager, have got a little bit of a philosophy now.
“They’ve got some good players; I think speed up front and they can hurt you on the counter attack. We need to take our medicine today, something that we can learn from.
“We are very happy when we win and we win a lot of the time, but we also have to take your medicine when you lose as well.”
The Englishman said their long run of games unbeaten ‘was always going to come to an end at some point’.
Walker said: “Obviously you want to make that end as long as possible and you don't want it to come, but sometimes you take your hat off to the opponent, say well done, and you move on.”
