AFC BOURNEMOUTH host Swindon Town in a top-of-the-table clash at the Vitality Stadium.
It is the first time this season that the women’s team has played at Dean Court, and it could not be a bigger game at this stage of the season, with their visitors sitting atop the table and the Cherries in second.
Both sides remain unbeaten in Division One South West, with Bournemouth four points behind their visitors, but with two games in hand.
The two sides have been prolific in front of goal, while remaining tight at the back, with goal differences of 29 and 35 for Swindon and Bournemouth respectively.
Previewing the game, Cherries boss Steve Cuss said he sees great opportunities for both sides.
“Obviously it's going to give whoever wins the game a big leap forward,” Cuss said. “I see both teams looking to pay to their strengths.
“If I'm being honest, I don't think that either team will change too much.
“There might be some tactical tweaks for sure that we'll make some small tweaks to what we're looking to do and how we're looking to set up.
“But primarily both teams have gone out and attacked every game and scored goals and won games and defended well.
“So I don't see that changing too much in terms of team setups and team personnel and the team mentality.
“But it will be a challenge for sure because both teams can score goals. So that puts the defences of both teams under pressure and we're playing on a big pitch and a big occasion as well.
“It's all thrown into the mix and all set to be an exciting game.”
The Cherries come into the game off the back of a 5-0 victory over their Bournemouth neighbours, Bournemouth Sports, on Thursday.
But the side were straight back in training on Friday to prepare for the Swindon match, with players also having fulltime jobs.
One player for whom this Sunday’s match will be a big occasion is Ellie Strippel, who comes up against her former club after joining the Cherries from Swindon in the summer.
Cuss said: “I suppose in many ways it's a slightly bigger game for Ellie, isn't it?
“She's going to be playing at the Vitality Stadium for the first time this season, playing against her old club, throwing that into that as well.
“I think Ellie's somebody that I've just really enjoyed working with. She’s a very, very good player, very good technical player.
“She has this ability to control and pass the ball very, very well, sees a pass but has a real eye for goal as well and is a real competitor, loves the tackle, loves running hard and playing hard.
“We're hopeful to continue to get the best out of her.
“It's been a pleasure to work with her so far and see what she can achieve with us.
“But no doubt she will feel a little bit different on Sunday as will all the players and they've just got to learn to deal with that and we're here to help them deal with that as well.”
AFC Bournemouth face Swindon Town on Sunday, November 10 at the Vitality Stadium, kick off at 2pm.
