COBHAM Sports secured all three points in the derby at Hamworthy Recreation Reserves thanks to two set piece goals.
Hamworthy began well and controlled the game for the first 15 minutes, with Cobham taking a while to settle into the contest.
But it was the visitors who had the first sight of goal, as Ellis George headed wide from a Josh Buck cross.
Cobham then opened the scoring as the two combined again, Buck with a free kick on the right and George beating Rec keeper Callum Watson to the ball to head it into the far corner on 26 minutes.
The visitors were on the ascendancy and doubled their lead in the 40th minute.
Dan Brown’s in-swinging corner kick was met at the near post by Mike Trim, his header finding the back of the net as Cobham led 2-0 at the break.
The second half was not a memorable one for either side, with chances at a premium.
Harries saw a free kick fly over the bar for Hamworthy and Brown and Chris Manners went close for Cobham, but the game petered out, with Cobham taking all three points.
