AFC BOURNEMOUTH’S convincing win against Swindon Town will give the side ‘huge confidence’, boss Steve Cuss said.
The Cherries scored twice in each half to give them a 4-0 victory over league-leaders the Robins, closing the gap to just one point with two games in hand.
Manger Cuss told the Daily Echo that the result gives them confidence and the three points is a big step forward.
“There was no doubt, I said that in the week, whoever got the three points today would feel it's a step forward,” he said.
“We’ve still got two thirds of the season to play yet, we've got to get our feet back on the ground again.
“Obviously, playing in front of 6,000 people today might not be the same for the next few weeks.
“We've got to work hard on that training field, but it will give the players huge confidence and hopefully they'll just keep pushing on and driving the standards that we expect and we'll just look to win the next game like we always do.”
Bournemouth travel to Portishead Town next in the National League Division One South West on Sunday, November 17.
