SWANAGE exited the Dorset Senior Cup as Hamworthy Recreation progressed to the semifinals of the Dorset Senior Cup with a 4-1 win on Tuesday night.
The hosts dominated the opening exchanges, with Swans keeper Taylor Hibbs producing a series of good saves, while the visitors looked threatening on the break.
But Hamworthy deservedly opened the scoring after 35 minutes from Wilcock as they entered the break with a 1-0 lead.
The lead was doubled from the penalty spot by Hodge, before Rudd added a third.
Swanage enjoyed a good spell and missed a couple of chances, with teenager Josh Titley making a difference.
Swanage reduced the deficit through Conor Magnier as he fired home from inside the box, but it was four for the hosts as the Swans pushed for a second, with Lippiatt heading home in the last minute.
Hamworthy Recreation progressed to the next round, seeing out their 4-1 victory.
Swanage manager Craig Adams said: “Tough game for the lads against a good outfit. The 2 leagues between us was evident at times but the players would have learnt so much from the experience.
“The energy, commitment and discipline our boys showed was outstanding! 2 of them age 16 and 17 were brilliant.”
