LAST season’s top goal scorer Lucy Cooper has left the Cherries by mutual consent.
Cooper netted 19 goals last term, and has scored four for AFC Bournemouth this term, across nine appearances.
The 19-year-old joined the club in 2016 from Broadstone Girls and progressed through the ranks before making her debut in the first team aged 16.
Cherries boss Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “We have agreed to release Lucy out of her contract. I’d just like to say a huge thank you to Lucy.
“She’s someone I’ve known a long time and seen her develop since she joined the club as a 12-year-old, right through to making her debut as a 16-year-old and scoring in that debut.
“She then scored in the FA Cup the week after and cemented her place in the side.
“Obviously the position has grown a little bit regarding the squad size and Lucy’s decision was to move on. We wish her all the best with that.”
