COBHAM Sports extended their winning streak to six games with an emphatic victory over league leaders Dorchester Sports.
Dorchester travelled to third placed Cobham at Merley Park, with two goals in each half handing the hosts a 4-0 victory in the Dorset Premier League.
The first chance of the game fell to the home side as the teams felt each other out in the early exchanges, with Josh Buck seeing his effort cleared off the line.
Cobham took control of the game, though, and took the lead after 22 minutes.
Dan Brown’s corner was met by Seb Stout, with his header cleared off the line into the path of Chris Manners who made no mistake from close range.
The home side were well on top and extended their lead in the 42nd minute, Brown getting on the end of a Kingsley Eze-Sunday cross to put them 2-0 up at half time.
It was a scrappy start to the second period but Cobham settled and began to control again, Exe-Sunday going close in the 64th minute.
The lead was three two minutes later, as substitute Marco Fowler smashed a left foot volley on the run into the top corner, leaving keeper Nick Hutchings no chance.
Five minutes from time, Cobham got their fourth as Fowler netted his brace, Alex Borges finding the forward to knock past the advancing Hutchings.
Cobham saw out the game to complete a strong performance and take all three points.
