BOURNEMOUTH continued their winning form with a comfortable win over Chichester at Chapel Gate.
The Lions ran out 66-19 winners after a good performance in front of a home crowd.
Director of rugby, Will Croker, said it was a good win, their sixth in a row, with his side playing well, full of confidence.
“There felt like there was an inevitability about us winning, which is a wonderful place to be at,” Croker said.
“We scored some excellent tries, a hat trick for Ryan Morrell, a brace for Maverick Goodchild, and we're scoring a lot of tries out wide.
“The line out and scrummage functioned well, but as a coaching group, we were maybe slightly underwhelmed because I don't feel like we ever got out of fourth gear, which is great, because if that's how we're feeling with a result like that against a decent side, then we're in a really good place.
“But there were some excellent individual performances and I thought that as a team, we're growing to understand one another, understand how we want to play.
“We've got a better feel, I think, for how the game plan should look, “I think there's a lot of credit for that's got to go to Ben Meaden and Grant Hancox in midfield, they've got now a real steer on what we're trying to achieve.
“It was a good performance.”
The result leaves Bournemouth in third in the Regional Two South Central table, behind Tottonians and Farnham.
The Lions now have a rest week ahead of a big derby clash with Wimborne.
“We've got a very big match for our second team [against Basingstoke] with a number of people returning from injury and wanting to put their hand up to be involved in that game the following week,” Croker said.
“So we'll be having a full week's training, really getting stuck into it for what's actually quite a tough run in now.
“Between now and Christmas, we have the Basingstoke game on Saturday and then we've got a run of four further league fixtures; Wimborne, Andover, Tottonians and Chobham.
“So it's a big run in.”
