AFC BOURNEMOUTH women make the short trip to Hampshire this Sunday as they look to advance to the next round of the Women’s FA Cup by defeating AFC Porchester.
This draw sets up a reunion with former Cherries captain Gemma Hillier, who left for Porchester in the summer.
This is the Cherries third game in their cup run, defeating Bishop Lydeard 5-3 at home and Saltash United 6-0 on the road.
In the first game, Gemma McGuinness opened the scoring, followed by a double from Erin Bloomfield before halftime.
Jenna Markham and Katie James scored to secure their 5-3 win, the latter scoring a late goal in their next game FA cup game.
James wasn’t the only returning goal scorer in the 6-0 win against Saltash, Bloomfield got another brace, making her the Cherries top scorer in the competition.
Goals in this one also came from Molly Clark, Amber Treweek and Alisha Buckingham.
The Cherries are now unbeaten in 13 games in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet in their last 5 games in a row and scoring 76 goals in all competitions since the start of the season.
Bournemouth will hope to continue their spectacular form and advance in the cup.
