LEWIS Cook is expecting a tough tactical test against former Cherries boss Gary O’Neil’s Wolverhampton Wanderers.

AFC Bournemouth travel up to the West Midlands on Saturday and will hope to defeat Wolves to return to winning ways, after losses to Brentford and Brighton.

Previewing the clash against his former boss, Cook told the Daily Echo: “I think obviously they've got quite a clear way of playing in and out of possession and obviously we've been in and around it.

“So tactically it's going to be a tough game.

“We're going to have to be able to adapt. But I've said in lots of interviews, every game in the Premier League is tough and you've got to be at your best to take the three points.”

Cherries teammate Adam Smith said the past two games have been frustrating but it’s important to forget them and focus on the future.

“We didn't perform badly, but it wasn't our best performances,” he said. “So, it's tough to come off a defeat, especially two in a row, but that's part of the Premier League.

“We're used to it now, so we've worked hard this week, need to carry on doing that, prepare right. And hopefully we can get a win on the weekend because it's going to be another real tough game.”

The trip to Wolves marks the start of the busy festive period, with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur next Thursday the first of six games in December.

On the importance of getting the busy period off to a good start, Cook said: “I think if you have a good Christmas period, it really gets your momentum going.

“It's tough, though, lots of games in a short space of time, but we're going to need the whole squad, we're going to have everyone ready to be able to affect games when called upon.”
