ANDONI Iraola said he had been joking last week with Milos Kerkez that he would score his first goal for Bournemouth soon – and he delivered it against Wolves.

The left back has been a real attacking threat on the left-hand side for Iraola’s Cherries and has notched two assists so far this season.

But he broke his duck on the goal scoring front on Saturday as he smashed home a fantastic finish from a flowing team move, that saw Bournemouth regain the lead at 2-1, in a game they would go on to win 4-2.

Asked about Kerkez’s goal after the game, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It's good that Milos is adding numbers, assists wise, goals wise.

“Because we were talking during the week that his goal was coming because he was arriving to very dangerous positions.

“He had a couple of chances where he finished too high and we were joking during the week saying, your goal is coming.

“And luckily for us, it was a great moment to score.

“I'm also pleased for his performance because defensively I think he's a player that is growing a lot.”
