BASHLEY skipper Andy Neal has urged his men to “dig deep” as they look to end a three-match winless run tomorrow.

Neal insists his side have been performing well in recent weeks, without converting those efforts into victories.

Having drawn the past three games, Neal has called for an extra push at Totton and Eling in order for Bashley to force their way back into the SPL Division One reckoning.

Neal told the Echo: “We really need a win from somewhere.

“We’re not playing badly but we’ve drawn our last three and we’re slipping down a bit and need a win to push ourselves back up.

“We’re batting well but we’ve not really looked like bowling sides out.

“Our last two matches at home have been on really flat tracks, as you can tell by last weekend’s result against Havant (a high-scoring draw).

“It’s hard there to bowl anyone out, but batting wise we’ve been great.”

Neal has been forced to make three changes to the Bashley team, with wicketkeeper Dan Friedman, Kevin Nash and Phil Morris all unavailable.

Chris Gates, Callum Maher and Richard Armstrong get the chance to impress.

Bashley: Neal, Jones, Thurgood, Armstrong, Sexton, Baker, Bailiff, R Grierson, Gates, Maher, King.

  • High-flying Bournemouth have been forced to shuffle their pack, with Dave Kidner and Matt Miller unavailable for Alton’s visit to Chapel Gate.

They have yet to finalise a starting line-up, but second team players Mark House and Alex Kennedy have been named in a 12-man squad.

Bournemouth: (from) de Weymarn, N Park, C Ridley, J Park, Watkins, Metcalfe, Mills, House, Denham, Payne, S Ridley, Kennedy.

  • New Milton skipper Ryan Beck has named an unchanged team following last weekend’s Division Two victory over Hambledon.

Beck’s men host Hook and Newnham Basics at Fernhill.

New Milton: R Beck, L Beck, Gargaro, Van der Walt, Neal, Wheeler, Loader, Adlem, Linge, Freeman, Prodomo.

  • Lymington’s pursuit of their first time pennant victory of the season sees them travel to in-form South Wilts.

Top-flight newcomers Lymo have lost all three of their timed contests so far.
