SWAY eased their relegation worries in the Hayward Premier Division when Adam Clark, Dan Thorogood and Justin Chapman clinched a 3-1 victory over Hamworthy Recreation who replied through Gavin Haynes.
Despite their first-half dominance, it wasn’t until after the interval that league leaders Bournemouth Electric broke the deadlock against struggling Mudeford Men’s Club as new signing Jake Ormond struck twice in their 3-0 success with the other goal coming from Joe Kittle.
Simon Atkins scored both goals from the penalty spot in Westover Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Redlynch & Woodfalls United, while Portcastrian upended Parley Sports 4-0 with goals from Jon Briggs-Winn, Dan Sheen, Adam Morris and Harrision Clements.
• Tuakana led with first-half goals from Kevin James and Tom Bawden but their hopes of catching Division One leaders Bournemouth Electric reserves were dented when the Sparkies came back after the break through Dan Baguley (2) and Rob Harber to win 3-2.
Electric need two points from their remaining two games to clinch the title.
Harrington United went third after giving St Mary’s a 5-1 drubbing thanks to Darren Facer’s hat-trick and a couple of goals from Ben Mowlam, while Ashley Nash scored both goals to give Twynham Rangers the edge 2-1 against Fencing Centre.
• Division Two pacesetters Bisterne United crashed to a shock 3-0 defeat to Fordingbridge Turks who rocked them with goals from Jason Thorne, Ben Flood-Page and Luke King.
Ferndown Sports are a point behind with two games in hand after Marcus Diffey and Rich Preston ensured a 2-0 success against Westover Bournemouth reserves.
The other top four sides Galleon and Mploy both dropped points, drawing 0-0 with New Milton Linnets and Seyward Windows respectively.
• Division Three leaders Parkside Wanderers ended their miserable run of five games without a win when Stuart McKillop (2), Dominic Falco and Dennis Cullen ensured a 4-1 victory over Stourvale.
Nearest rivals South Coast Demolition accounted for Parley Sports A 4-0 thanks to Dave Perry’s hat-trick and a goal from Steve Newman.
Third-placed AFC Burton netted through Mark Brading and Dean Francis but Seabournes just got the better of them 3-2 with goals from Mark Chiverton (2) and Brett McEwan, while Queens Park Athletic were held to a 0-0 draw by relegation battlers Redlynch & Woodfalls United reserves.
• Unbeaten Bournemouth Electric A remain six points clear at the top of Division Four after Matty Ings scored all three goals to subdue tailenders Albany Athletic 3-2.
Charlie Heggan steered second-placed Bisterne Rangers to a 1-0 win over AFC Highcliffe, while promotion rivals AFC Pennington and FC Athletico cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw. Barry Ward was the Pennington marksman with Dave Pearce replying for Athletico.
Magpies moved further away from the danger zone when Rob Carter clinched a vital 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Burley.
Bull; Mudeford Men’s Club reserves moved closer to becoming champions of Division Five after Max Edgell and Paul Moss gave them the verdict 2-1 against promotion rivals Twynham Rangers reserves.
Robert Cole netted for Screw-It Carpentry but Sami Kaddah earned Hurn Jets a useful 1-1 draw.
Allendale reserves toppled Bransgore United 5-1 thanks to an own goal and Stuart Pomeroy’s four-goal blast, while Shamrock put paid to Fernheath CFC 4-1 thanks to Sam Randle’s hat-trick and a goal from Paul Smith.
• Charlie Field led the way with a hat-trick when Division Six high-fliers AFC Bransgore hammered Portcastrian reserves 8-0 with Tim Davis (2), Rich Hickling, Luke Basil and Scott Joy also on target.
Unbeaten Queens Park Athletic reserves remain two points behind with a game in hand after Wes Jones (2), Mike Thompson (2), Ryan Shaylor and Ross Logan scored in their 6-1 win over AFC Burton reserves.
John James notched a hat-trick in Townsend Spartans’ 7-1 success over Ringwood Athletic with the other goals coming from Garie Sweetland (2), Julian Landy and Gary Ings.
