SKIPPER Simon Watkins insists Bournemouth will stick to their tried and tested methods as they look to maintain their impressive start to the season.

Watkins has seen the reigning champions cope admirably with several team changes to climb to second in the embryonic Division One table.

With brothers James and Nick Park both hitting centuries, the Lions have recorded wins over Andover and Havant, the two victories sandwiching an abandonment against neighbours Bashley.

Bournemouth welcome back Nick Evans, Alex Butler and Ben Flux, and wicket keeper Tom Wainwright for tomorrow’s 50-overs-per-side Chapel Gate contest with Alton (1pm).

Watkins told the Daily Echo: “We have had a good start considering we have not had a settled side and have had lots of team changes each week.

“To get two wins is fantastic. We are going to take it game by game and look to keep performing as we have. We will not try anything different or get ahead of ourselves and will look to keep developing.”

Bournemouth will also be hoping to make a winning start to their SPL Twenty20 Cup campaign when they visit New Milton on Sunday.
