EXPERIENCED Bournemouth professional Richard Hill was back in the winners circle in the inaugural Ladies Pro Am at Dudsbury, organised by home professional Steve Pockneall, and supported by the Golf Boutique.
He led a trio of Amanda Walker, Eatyta Proctor and five-handicapper Lorraine Richardson into first place with 86 stableford points.
Former Bournemouth Alliance captain Hill, once at Ferndown and Queens Park, is now attached to Ferndown Forest after a long spell at Parley Court at Hurn.
Parkstone’s Martyn Thompson led a club team of Sandie Stott, Barbara Leonard and Heidi Rieteker into second on 82 followed one shot behind by Knighton Heath assistant Barry Mutter and low handicappers Debbie Knight (off 12), Fay Carpenter (6) and Sam Hill (7).
West Region captain Michael Watson shot four-under-par to win the individual tournament. David Hutton (Hamptworth) was second on 69, followed by West Region Fourball winner Graham Howell (Ferndown Forest).
West Region tournament director Andy Holding said: “It was a perfect day in superb weather and the event was very well received by everyone.”
