MATT Ford has slashed ticket prices for Wednesday’s Elite Knockout Cup second leg as a “celebration” of Pirates’ incredible victory at Swindon.
Poole Castle Cover turned in a barnstorming performance to triumph 62-28 in Thursday’s first leg at Blunsdon.
And Ford, who witnessed his biggest win as promoter in Wiltshire, has urged the Wimborne Road faithful to turn out in numbers on Wednesday.
Ford said: “ What can I possibly say about that peformance? It was a dream – a nightmare for Ronnie (Russell, Swindon’s team manager), but a dream for us.
“I accept that Swindon will claim they were understrength but I am not going to take anything away from my lads. They were brilliant and they all deserve a hearty reception on Wednesday night for the second leg.
“I am offering reduced admission to that meeting.
“Prices will be slashed to £10 for adults and concessions and £2 for kids. Our voucher holders will receive a free programme to celebrate this fine win.”
Meanwhile, Ford expects Russian sensation Renat Gafurov to be fit for the second leg at Wimborne Road.
Gafurov suffered concussion following a fall at Blunsdon.
