REIGNING champions Bournemouth have drafted in teenager Ryan Scott – son of Middlesex head coach Richard – for their meeting with lowly Andover.
The 16-year-old is one of three enforced changes for the Lions, who are without captain Simon Watkins, regular stand-in skipper James Park and Dorset batsman Nick Park.
New-look Bournemouth will be keen to close in on leaders Havant by securing victory over struggling Andover. The visitors are firmly rooted to the bottom of the SPL Division One table.
Simon Ridley, 23, will take charge of the Lions for the first time and is relishing the prospect. He said: “I’m looking forward to it and it is a nice challenge.”
“I have been at the club for a while and it was something I had always had my mind on,” added Ridley, who started playing for Bournemouth as a 10-year-old.
Batsmen Alex Allum and Tom Wilkinson have also earned call-ups for the top-flight clash.
